Lawsuit challenging several provisions of Senate Bill 749. Specifically it challenges a provision that removes the governor's power to appoint members to the state board of elections and grants it to the legislature instead. The complaint also challenges a provision which requires the state board of elections to have an even number of Republicans and Democrats. Additionally, the plaintiff challenges a provision of the law which changes the composition of the state's county election boards to be four member bipartisan boards appointed by lawmakers. The complaint alleges Senate Bill 749 prevents the governor from exercising his duty "to ensure that the laws are faithfully executed" and violates the North Carolina Constitution.

Lawsuit challenging North Carolina Senate Bill 747. The bill requires election officials to send address verification notices to same-day voters via the mail. If the mail is returned as undeliverable, election officials are prohibited from registering the same-day voter and are to exclude their ballot from the official vote count. The voter is not notified of the cancellation of their ballot. The plaintiffs allege that the provision violates the Due Process Clause and places an undue burden on the right to vote under the 1st and 14th amendment.

Lawsuit challenging two provisions of North Carolina Senate Bill 747. In particular, the lawsuit challenges a provision that requires same-day registrants to provide additional documentation beyond a photo ID, and the undeliverable mail provision. The plaintiffs allege these provisions violate the Due Process Clause, places an undue burden on the right to vote under the 1st and 14th amendment, the Help America Vote Act, Section 11(b) of the VRA, the Civil Rights Act and the North Carolina Constitution's Law of the Land Clause and Free Elections Clause.

Lawsuit challenging a North Carolina law that requires voter to reside in the state for at least 30 days before the election in which they seek to vote. Plaintiffs allege that 30 days is longer than the registration deadline and therefore voters who move to the state within 30 days of election day are prevented from voting in Presidential elections even though the state allows registrations 20 days before election day and through the Saturday before election day. Plaintiffs argue this violates Section 202 of the VRA, which prohibits states from preventing eligible voters from voting in Presidential election based on how long they have resided in the state before election day.

Plaintiffs challenge a Wisconsin law that requires absentee voters to complete their ballots in front of a witness who is a US citizen and can attest to the voter's eligibility. They allege this violates Section 201 of the VRA, which prohibits denying the right to vote on the basis of a "test or device". They also allege that the Wisconsin law violates the materiality provision of the Civil Rights Act.

Lawsuit challenging a Michigan law that makes it a misdemeanor to hire a motor to transport voters to the polls. The plaintiffs allege that this violates the fundamental right to vote enshrined in the Michigan constitution.
