Plaintiffs filed suit arguing that Donald Trump engaged in an insurrection on January 6th, 2021 and is thus disqualified from appearing on the presidential primary or general election ballot under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. They bring this suit against the Michigan Secretary of State in her official capacity, and ask the court to enjoin the Secretary of State from including Donald Trump on the ballot for the 2024 primary and general elections.
